Instagram has become a platform where digital influencers can make big bucks. It’s no secret that the Kardashian’s dominate social media. The Kardashian-Jenner clan, unsurprisingly, rake in the highest amount any social media influencer earn per Instagram post. They are considered to be the most sought-after and searched celebrities on Instagram that brans are paying six-figure sums to be featured in just one post.
Michael Heller, the CEO of digital-marketing firm Talent Resources, told Us Weekly that companies are willing to spend $500,000 to get access to Kim Kardashian 104 million Instagram followers. With this large-scale audience, brands can get their ads viewed by Kim’s fan base, which is nearly twice the size of the entire population of the United Kingdom.
Following Kim are sisters Khloe and Kourtney who can earn up to $300,000 per post (they each have 70 million and 60 million followers respectively). The Jenner sisters Kendall and Kylie boast 85 million and 99 million followers each, which means they each earn about $400,000 for advertising on their Instagram.
The Kardashain-Jenner clan endorse products such as weight-loss teas to waist trainers, which “sell out immediately”, explains Heller. The brands that invest with the Kardashian clan are almost guaranteed a return on their investment.
But these girls know how to play the game. Not only do they advertise for other companies, but also they’ve each created their own products, which they advertise almost daily to fan. From Kylie’s lip kits to KKW Beauty, almost every product endorsed by the Kardashian and Jenner girls become sold out.
Heller says not to underestimate the influence of social media and the part it plays in the careers of celebrities. He brings attention to the fact that ‘sponsored posts are about 25 percent of their income.’
